COOKIES AND DEVICE ACCESS
Cookie policy
Which cookies and comparable technologies are involved when you use this website, and why no consent banner is displayed.
1. In short
- This website sets no cookies and uses no local or session storage.
- The website contains no JavaScript, so nothing can run in your browser.
- No analytics, advertising, retargeting or tag-management scripts are loaded.
- No third-party embeds: no maps, videos, external fonts, social plug-ins or chat widgets.
- Because of this, no consent banner is shown. There is nothing to consent to.
This page documents the position in detail and lists every technology involved, including the ones operated by the hosting infrastructure rather than by this website.

3. What cookies and comparable technologies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Comparable technologies are local storage, session storage, tracking pixels and the reading of device characteristics (fingerprinting). German law regulates access to your device separately from data protection law: Section 25(1) TDDDG permits storing information on, or reading information from, a visitor’s device only with consent. Section 25(2) TDDDG exempts only what is strictly necessary to carry out a communication or to provide a service the visitor has explicitly requested.
4. What this website does
The website is published as a set of static files. It contains no JavaScript, no forms and no server-side application code. It therefore performs no storage or read operation on your device and sets no cookies of its own. 3 of the 7 entries in the inventory below are technologies that are not used at all, are handled entirely on your own device after an explicit click, or are part of delivering the page.
The language selection works the same way: choosing German or English simply follows a link. No preference is stored, and no language cookie is set.
5. Full inventory
| Service or technology | Data involved | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Analytics, advertising and tracking | |||
| No service present | No analytics, advertising, retargeting or tag-management scripts are loaded. There is no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Matomo, Hotjar or Clarity integration. | — | Not required, nothing is used |
| Embedded third-party content | |||
| No embedding present | No YouTube or Vimeo videos, no Google Maps or OpenStreetMap maps, no external fonts, no social plug-ins, no chat widgets and no advertising networks. Loading a page therefore opens no connection to any third party. | — | Not required, nothing is used |
| Cookies and device storage set by the website itself | |||
| No cookies, no local storage, no session storage | The website contains no JavaScript and performs no storage or read operations on your device. The language choice is not stored either: it simply follows the link you click. | — | Not required, no access takes place |
| Contact links handled on your device | |||
| Phone link (tel:) | The link carries nothing but the phone number. Only when you place the call yourself does your phone provider process connection data. | Contact at your request | Not required, only after your click |
| Email link (mailto:) | The link carries nothing but the email address. Only when you send the message yourself do your email provider and the business process the content. | Contact at your request | Not required, only after your click |
| Infrastructure involved when a page loads | |||
| GitHub Pages (hosting) | Technical connection data needed to deliver and protect the request: IP address, request time, requested URL, response status and browser information. Processed under the provider’s own terms. | Delivery of the website | Technically required to serve the request |
| Cloudflare (only when the proxy is enabled) | Only if the domain runs through the Cloudflare proxy: technical request data for delivery and security; the provider may set its own security cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. Whether this applies depends on your DNS and proxy configuration. | Delivery and protection through the CDN | Technically required, provider responsibility |
6. Why no consent banner is displayed
A consent banner is required only where a website itself stores information on your device or reads it back, and that access is not strictly necessary. This website performs no such access, so the requirement in Section 25(1) TDDDG is not triggered and no banner is shown. Showing a banner here would be misleading, because there would be no choice to make. Should analytics, advertising, embedded maps, embedded videos or external fonts ever be added, a banner with an accept and a reject option of equal prominence must be added at the same time, and the services in question must remain blocked until consent is given.
7. Hosting infrastructure
Delivering a page requires infrastructure that this website does not control. GitHub Pages serves the files and may process technical connection data such as your IP address, the request time, the requested URL, the response status and browser information. If the domain is routed through the Cloudflare proxy, Cloudflare may process the same kind of technical data and may set its own security cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. That processing is the provider’s responsibility and is governed by its own terms. Whether Cloudflare is involved depends on the active DNS and proxy configuration; the German privacy policy describes the same point.
8. Managing cookies in your browser
You can view, block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies entirely. Because this website sets no cookies, doing so has no effect on how it displays or works.
9. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and you may lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. For enquiries, contact [email protected]. The German privacy policy sets out the same rights in the authoritative language.
10. Changes to this page
This page is updated whenever a technology is added or removed. Because the inventory above is generated from the same source file as the website build, it cannot fall out of step with what the site actually loads.
This is an English translation for convenience. The German cookie policy is the authoritative version.
